Peter Cooper launches petition for new Wing, Wingrave and Whitchurch Cycleways

Peter Cooper, Lib Dem Bucks Unitary Councillor for Wing ward, has been working tirelessly with Bucks Council officers for the last 2 years on the feasibility of new cycle paths linking Wing, Wingrave and Whitchurch with the extensive cycle network in Kingsbrook,  Aylesbury and beyond.

The plan is to enable cyclists to be safely separated from the busy A413 and A418 main roads providing enjoyable cycling on bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters. It has the full support of Wing, Wingrave, Aston Abbotts, Whitchurch, Hardwick, Weedon and Kingsbrook Parish Councils, all that’s now required is for Buckinghamshire Council to secure funding and give the project its full backing.

Peter says: “This scheme would get people out of their cars, reduce pollution and encourage a healthier lifestyle. Please support this Lib Dem petition as the final push in a 2-year long campaign to bring safe cycling to our neighbourhoods and allow people to enjoy our beautiful countryside.”
