The new constituency includes Princes Risborough, Haddenham, Wendover and Great Missenden

Anja Schaefer, recently won a by-election to become the new Bucks Unitary Councillor for Buckingham East. She has now been elected as the prospective parliamentary candidate for the new Mid Buckinghamshire constituency, which includes Princes Risborough, Haddenham, Wendover and Great Missenden.

Anja is a senior lecturer in business studies at the Open University, specialising in the development of Small/Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Her priorites for Mid Bucks include regional economic development, improving educational outcomes, especially for children with special educational needs and protecting the area's green spaces and natural habitats.

Anja says:

"I am delighted and honoured to have been selected as Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Mid Buckinghamshire. Across the country, people are appalled at Conservative neglect of the NHS and the environment, their mismanagement of the economy, and the sheer nastiness of so many of their policies. I look forward to campaigning for a better politics for the people of Buckinghamshire."
