Lib Dems climb after Leaders' Debate

The Facebook group that got Rage Against the Machine to the UK Christmas number one slot has been copied by the group 'We got RATM to #1, we can get the Lib Dems into office!'.

Creator of the group Ben Stockman got in touch with person behind the RATM group, and things snowballed from there. At the time of writing the group has got almost 65,000 fans and it is allegedly growing at 40% a day.

(The RATM group is currently standing at almost 1m members, and was enough to push the X Factor juggernaut out of the way and make our Christmas a little less predictable.)

The Lib Dem group is dedicated to pushing more people to register to vote and encourage people who agree with Lib Dem policies to speak up, saying: This is NOT a bandwagon! This group is intended to encourage those who would vote Lib Dem, but usually "don't want to waste their vote", that if we unite we can really see a change in the unrepresentative two-party system.

When you look at the voting turnout from the 2005 election - 9.6m for Labour, 8.8m for the Tories and 6m for the Lib Dems - a group of 1m people could turn into a powerful tool.

We got RATM to #1, we can get the Lib Dems into office!
