Winslow by-election. March 2004.

Local Liberal Democrats achieved a good result in the recent Winslow by-election.

The Conservatives won the AVDC seat with 55% of the vote.

The Liberal Democrats achieved 35%, with the Independent on 10%.

Lib Dem candidate Hannah Saul commented: "This is exactly what we set out to achieve. Not only have we increased our share of the vote by over 10% and found lots of potential new members, but we succeeded in worrying the Conservatives rather a lot as well!"
